It is perfectly normal and expected that you would have pain in your neck after getting hit there. If that is your only symptom, there is nothing to worry about.

Would agree that it is not unusual to have an injury to your neck and subsequent symptoms. You could have an external bruise, perhaps a neck strain/ sprain, and likely for this to resolve over a few days. If persistent or worsening seek advice from your doctor.
