Yes, there is a: difference between Omega 3,6, and 9. I'm not familiar w/Omega 12. Omega 3 is EPA or DHA. People needing more help w/brain development or recovery take more DHA than EPA. Omega 6 is common in most diets, and we make Omega 9 ourselves in the body. If you buy Omega oil, there is no need to buy the 3, 6, 9 variety. Omega 3 is most useful, Omega 3 & 6 is ok, but I don't believe you need 9. Peace
