Did you have any: trauma to the area? That doesn't happen spontaneously unless you have lower back, hip issues or shin/ankle issues too. Were you playing sports? Might be good to have it checked by your PCP and examined as it could easily be from strain from lifting weights or working out at the gym, or lifting heavy equipment. In either case, it's easy to remedy too. So see your doctor first.
