Nerve: This is most likely an irritable/slightly inflamed superficial nerve causing this symptom and I doubt that it reflects any problem with the knee joint it self in the absence of pain or tenderness. Such symptoms usually resolve after a brief period of time. If you have further concerns, see your physician for evaluation.
