Dyshydrosis: or sometimes called dyshydrotic eczema will cause peeling and cracking of the skin and is usually confined to hands and feet. It is more common in individuals who have atopic dermatitis but one needs to consider a contact dermatitis to a shoe product as well.; It may be improved with topical steroids. Often, avoiding excess sweating, avoiding vinyl shoes and sox that wick moisture may help.
