The skin behind my toe nails are peeling in my right foot (all nails showing the skin peeling). my left foot doesnt show this at all. it is only the skin immediately behind the toe nails (not between toes etc). what could cause this?

Could possibly be a fungus infection, esp if it's unilateral. Suggest seeing a dermatologist for fungal culture and appropriate treatment.

Also consider asking the dermatologist about other inflammatory skin problems such as psoriasis
