Taste: is mostly sense of smell. True we can detect sweet, sour and salty sensations with various parts of the tongue. Sometimes Zoloft (sertraline) can cause loss of sense of smell (reported in 68 of 74,000 patients with side effects on Zoloft (sertraline)). Best tell your doctor. May want to check your Zinc level. May want to switch meds if another cause is not found.
