Weird taste: Weird taste issues are tough to diagnose and treat. Often, there could be a sinus infection or some sort of virus that could be affecting your taste buds, making you have these strange tastes. If this persists, see an Ear/Nose/and Throat Dr. for an evaluation. Best wishes.

See physician : While weird tastes can be caused by virus infections or allergies, we worry about zinc deficiency or heavy metal toxicity with lead or copper. These are especially important if you have problems with food. Your physician can test for these. If it persists without explanation he/she can refer you to a neurologist who has a special interest in abnormal taste problems
