'Stiff neck': Neck pain from improper sleeping position is very common and is usually due to either muscle spasms or malrotation of a cervical vertebrae. Initial treatment involves ice packs (although some people find more relief with heat) to the site for 20 mins 2-3 times per day to reduce inflammation and Motrin/Advil every 6-8 hours. Good luck!
