Chemical modulation: Antidepressant activity is produced by a wife variety of medications that range from methyl,folate (a vitamin), serotonin agents (Prozac, Zoloft, (sertraline) celexa) serotonin-nor epinephrine agents (cymbalta, pristique), tricyclics (elavil, desaryl) and many others. Mechanism differ but Some do calm the nervous systems, but others re balance, or even stimulate it. Electricity also works for some.
