Chest wall pain: You have not told me anything that sounds cardiac includong sweating and nausea and radiatio to other places.but we all hear the stories of young people that do have problems. What I believe you have is chest wall pain. But to be sure make an appointment with your family doctor to do a good history and physical.

Multiple Causes: Chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease but may be may other things such as esophageal spasms, great vessel disease, respiratory disorders (asthma, COPD, bronchitis, infections), and muscle problems to name a few. It really depends on the clinical situation and other symptoms you may be having. It is very unlikely that at 21 it is serious but should see a doctor to get more information.
