What are the optimum levels of the thyroid for a young woman?

Thyroid disease?: Hi. It's not clear from your statement if you're being treated for hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. So let's assume you must be being treated for abnormal thyroid function. In these cases, I usually use a goal for TSH of roughly 1-2. If treating hypothyroidism, l-thyroxine therapy brings TSH down to that range and if treating hyperthyroidism, methimazole (or equivalent) brings TSH up to there.
