Both are accurate: in the hands of a skilled sonographer ultrasound is also a good method. All three techniques are useful to map the veins

Lifted heavy load.intense pain along hip bone & groin. During exam Dr. said she reduced a hernia. CT scan & X-Ray of hip shows nothing. This was end of Jan. Still have pain along hip bone & hip can't put weight on leg. Maybe a tear needs surgery?
