A member asked:

Is a 4.6 inr dangerous when taking warfarin? my dr told me to not take any for the weekend to get it back to a 2-3 . i ate spinach to try to lower it

Follow doctor's: advise. INR of 4.6 is higher than desired. Do not change your diet without checking with your doctor as you could easily go in the opposite direction and not be sufficiently anti-coagulated.

If no bleeding: Not dangerous. Just be extra cautious until repeat INR.
