Maybe: A large clot like a saddle embolus may take the body a while to reabsorb. It can put some strain on the heart which takes some time to resolve. Your shortness of breath is probably from the residual clot.

Further Evaluation: Further evaluation may be necessary. Depending on what evaluation his been done, you may need further attention. Is your cardiac function normal? Is there evidence of pulmonary hypertension? Is there any evidence of resolution of the pulmonary embolus? Do you have perfusion defects? Full recovery may take longer than two months, but you should be improving. Talk to your doctor.

perhaps: It may take months for your lungs to recover from a pulmonary embolus. Lung function testing is easy and CAD be performed by a pulmonolgist if there are confers about the lung function.
