What type?: Hard to tell what type of infection we are talking about here. If pus comes out, clean with alcohol and put antibiotic ointment. You may need antibiotics for which you need a medical evaluation and even a culture of the area. If there is no pocket of pus just under the skin and with no improvement, see a dermatologist.
