What happens when you stop levothroxine can it kill you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stopping medicine: If you are hypothyroid, and appropriately treated with levothyroxine, why would you stop? If you do, you will start to feel symptoms in perhaps 3-7 days. Mild at first. Lethargic, cold, fatigued, foggy-headed, sleeping a lot, constipated. This will get worse. Eventually, you can die from this ("myxedema coma"), but it will take a while. During that time, you will be miserable.
