A member asked:

When cortisol is depleted, what does it take from first? i read that it uses progesterone initially or something else?

Clarify: Hi. I'm sorry, but would you clarify your question? As an endocrinologist, that makes no sense to me, and I can't guess what you're trying to say. If a patient has primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency, the ovaries are still perfectly able to synthesize progesterone (unless they or their pituitary drivers have also been damaged somehow). So if you'll clarify, we'll try to help.
