Today is the Sep. 25: One cannot be pregnant and then have a regular menstrual period (because she sheds her uterine lining with her period and would flush out an embryo). If her normal regular period began on the 6th, she could have conceived at most ~9 days ago if she has short cycles. It's unlikely to have that scenario, but could explain a positive pregnancy test. Or else maybe that "period" was pregnancy spotting.
