See a dentist again: Antibiotics usually only take 1-2 days to kick in. I'd be concerned something else is going on. Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) is an oral mouth rinse that some dentists Rx for pericoronitis. Ask yours if it's right for you.

See a physician ASAP: A hot and swollen face while taking metronidazole for pericorinitis (periodontal disease caused by food trapped between gum and tooth) would usually indicate an acute allergic reaction to metronidazole, or less likely an acute infection of the swollen area. You need to be seen IMMEDIATELY. I would suggest going to a good Urgent Care center or to the Emergency Room.
