I am looking into becoming a vegetarian and was wondering what to keep in mind in terms of nutrition and health?

Balance: Being a vegetarian can be healthy as long as you continue with other sources of lean protein (beans, dairy, etc.) vegans need to also be concerned about vitamin B12 deficiency and may need supplemental shots from their physician.

Vitamin B12: There is no vitamin B12 in a vegetarian or vegan diet, so you will have to supplement with B12 on such a diet.
