Both can be used.: The best answer is to try either one and go to the other if the first one doesn't work. For status epileptics Valium is the most common choice which makes me favor it for myoclonus.

Klonopin (clonazepam): Not sure if Klonopin (clonazepam) is working for u or what the dose is. Both Klonopin (clonazepam) & valium are benzos, but valium has much longer half-life.
