A member asked:

Are shingles contagious if you've had chicken pox before?

Confusing question: You cannot catch shingles from an affected person but if susceptible, you could get chickenpox. If you have had Cpx before you will not be at risk from this person. Shingled differs from Cpx in being less contagious. The germ will not be in their saliva or a cough, just in the debris from the sores.
