I've got shingles. how many weeks or days would it be until i know my kids haven't been infected with chicken pox?

Incubation time: The incubation time for varicella is 7-21 days, so you are not going to know until 3 weeks after all of your lesions have resolved whether they will contract the virus. Were they immunized? This reduces the chance very significantly. Greatest risk would be to someone under age one or someone with a compromised immune system.
