The optimal adult : dose of Concerta for many adults is 72 mg./day, given as 2 36 mg. pills each AM. Your doctor would prescribe the 54 mg. pill first to see if that's sufficient. The Watson/Activis version of Concerta is the only true generic equivalent of brand Concerta, manufactured in the same factory, using the same equipment and the same drug delivery system as original Concerta. Check with your pharmacist.
