Are there any markers in labwork or numbers that if out of range could indicate the need to chk 4 thyroid cancer?

No: Hi. No, no lab tests indicate need to check for thyroid cancer. That is based on the finding of a thyroid nodule above a certain size. A mass, in other words.

Possibly.: Cancer is usually detected by finding an enlarging thyroid nodule. It is much less likely to find an abnormality of thyroid labs that indicate cancer because of the relative infrequency of thyroid cancer and the high prevalence of thyroid abnormalities. There are certain families with higher risk of thyroid cancer - the best test here is to know your family history of endocrine tumors.
