Sound like a hernia: hard lump that disappear when you lay down sound like a hernia a lymph node or a cyst does not disappear that fast the timing with the menses could make it related to ovary if persisted ask for a gynecologist to perform laproscopic procedure they can see if there is a hernia and fix it and have the chance to evaluate the abdomen and the pelvis
