A member asked:

Can lumbar radiculopathy cause isolated swelling in a single leg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Lumbar nerve compression can result in numbness, radiating pain, muscle weakness, but does NOT cause swelling. Need to assess presence of venous issue such as thrombophlebitis, local inflammation, varicose veins, or your polycythemia may be playing a role.
