Yes, referred pain: I've discussed 'pain' & 'referred pain' in prior answers. Pain experienced in one area of the body can be generated in another. Testicular pain may be caused by a kidney stone located in kidney, ureter or bladder, a hernia, anything affecting spinal nn innervating the area, a mass (tumor) +++. The prepared good doc knows all those possibilities already, therefore knows the right questions to ask.
