Back pain-it's where they took bone from my pelvis to place in my right femur, back in 1972. the pain now is so bad that i can only stand for about 5 to 10 minutes before i have to sit down.

Iliac Crest Pain: Unfortunately, pain at the site of bone harvest from the iliac crest is common. However, the increased pain 40 years after the surgery is uncommon and could represent a new condition. Speak to your doctor about further diagnostic workup.

PNFS: The incidence of bone graft site harvesting pain varies, but is generally accepted as a complication of autograft usage in spine fusion. There has been no one specific treatment to resolve the problem. The use is neurotrophic medications have been helpful. Physical therapy helps some patients. Peripheral nerve field stimulation has been found to be successful in reported studies.
