Fear not: No one has EVER died of sinus tachycardia and it doesn't cause heart attacks or strokes either. At your age (26), your max predicted HR is about 200 so 160 isn't even close. Ask for a 24 hour recorder to see what's up. Thyroid and catecholamines should be checked. Pseudoephedrine (often combined with acrivastine) can cause sinus tachy .
