A member asked:

43 year old female. results read "normal sinus rhythm with sinus arrhythmia. possible left atrial enlargement borderline ecg.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No clear abnormality: Sinus rhythm is the normal heart rhythm seen on the electrocardiogram and "sinus arrhythmia" the normal variability of the heart rate, usually with breathing. "Possible left atrial enlargement " refers to questionable abnormality of the P waves in the electrocardiogram. These findings are of no significance unless accompanied by abnormal findings on examination.
