What is meant by endocx/sq.met cells : present in the gynaecology cytology result?

Normal: ENDOCX means that there are endocervical cells present (cells from inside the cervix) which is what you want present on the thin prep. SQ MET CELLS are normal endocervical cells. No worries!

Cervix: Endocervical cells present means smear is sufficient for evaluation (result). Squamous metaplasia is very common, not to be worried.
