PE concern: D-dimer, a simple blood test which can be used normally to exclude PE is elevated in pregnant /postpartum women until about 4 weeks post partum. If you did a d-dimer and it was normal that would indicate no PE but it may be elevated just because you are 2 weeks post partum. CT angio or V/Q scan( V/Q involves radioactivity -if nursing) are the definitive studies. Discuss with doctor.
