Exam needed: These symptoms warrant an abdominal examination by a physician urgently. They could be due to acute gastritis, peptic ulcer, gall bladder or pancreatic inflammation. Irritation/inflammation of the diaphragm explains the discomfort with a deep breath. Examination in the emergency room is advised as prompt evaluation and testing is available.
