Either or: First you have to know what the surgeon isore comfortable with second a first time hernia in the groin they are equal third incisional hernia or large ventral hernia laproscopically is better recurrent and bilateral and femoral hernia laproscopically better umbilical hernia depend on the size if it is large laproscopically better I hope that help good luck
