Good evening dr my boy has hernia hes only 4months we dont know what to do , this time is worse he just cries , my gp told me we have to wait until he turns a year for a surgery, what can i do please help?

Some basics: The repair & anesthesia are both easier at a year when the kid is bigger but there are a few situations where earlier surgery is needed. If the hernia can slip in & out easily there is no rush. If it gets stuck & the sac turns dark it may need to be done that day. Any crying he does for any reason will make the hernia appear to enlarge, but don't assume that is the cause for his crying.
