Krokodil: Desomorphine. Got its name in Russia possibly related to the chemical name of its precursor alpa-chlorocodide, or similarity of a skin damaged by the drug use, to crocodile leather. When it is mixed with contaminates when illegally made it is very toxic and damages the skin causing abscess. It has no legal use in the US and is classified as a schedule 1 drug. 10 times more potent than morphine.
