Osteochondral injury: I am not sure, but you do need to see either a podiatrist or an orthopedic doctor.

From yes to no.: The ability to walk is related to the pain generated from the defect itself and the injury, more than likely, sustained acquiring the defect. The injury may require a minimal amount of care or could require arthroscopy for treatment. Ankle ligament damage could also have be a component in the treatment protocol.
