See an Orthopod to -: get Diagnosed and treated. You might have a Meniscal tear or chondral lesion. Sitting crosslegged involves twisting of the knee. an exam by an Orthopod and a MRI would be enough to reach a dx, and to start treatment. These would be the commonest causes and I am sure a thorough history, exam and investigations would help to diagnose. Good Luck.
