Dental abscess: A tooth abscess won't go away without treatment. A dental abscess is a collection of pus that forms in your teeth or gums as a result of a bacterial infection. The dentist will treat a tooth abscess by draining it and getting rid of the infection. See a dentist for a treatment ASAP.

Multiple possibiliti: there can be excess filling material between the teeth, there could be too much filling on top and the bite needs to be adjusted. the amount of contact between the teeth could be so tight the floss snaps down and hits the gum causing pain. there could be a micro leak of the filling near the gum line due to a material failure. Have it checked by the dentist
