Probably not: "Typical" ear infections are usually in the middle ear or the external ear canal, and would not cause any growths near the earlobe. It may be a skin tag or keloid if you happened to have a skin infection or cut or burn on your earlobe. I have seen keloid growths from infected ear piercings also. Since it is fairly large, I would recommend having it looked at by a Dr.
