Stimulants, either : methylphenidate or amphetamine, can increase anxiety in a person with ADHD + comorbid anxiety disorder(s). Each stimulant preparation has a daily onset, peak, & duration of action. Some people have less anxiety on Vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) even though Adderall is its active ingredient. Some do well on a stimulant + a non-stimulant like Intuniv as an adjunct. See CHADD.org & discuss options with your doctor.
