You will be given : Topical anesthesia drops which will prevent any pain but will be awake or sedated, the computerized laser is very precise

No worries!: Most laser procedures are completely painless but it depends on the type of laser. PRP laser for diabetic retinopathy, can feel achy as 1200 spots of laser are applied to the peripheral retina, so if you're having this laser you might need a retro bulbar block. Yag capsulotomy, on the other hand, is entirely painless, no block needed. Ask your doc questions and feel less worried!
