A member asked:

Prophylaxis regimen for a neonate whose mother has tuberculosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex problem: This is a complex problem that should be addressed with your local infectious disease providers/health department, etc. The regimen varies with the situation. If mom had active TB in pregnancy the child might first be isolated from mom & worked up for congenital infection. Moms with treated responsive TB would have a different plan than those with resistant forms.Best get a thorough eval first.
