Echocardiogram: The report of diastolic change means your heart muscle is a bit stiffer than normal. This occurs from pressure overload or volume overload states. Do you have hi bp. ? Diltiazem can help as bp lowering agent and can help heart muscle relax a bit. The report is meaningful and requires treatment.

Borderline: diiastolic dysfucntion. Diastolic dysfunction is caused by the heart not relaxing adequately between heart beats.. The best things you can do are take your medications follow a low fat low salt diet and exercise aerobically daily.
