Is it safe to fly on airplane a few hours after an mri scan with contrast of neck spinal area ? or should i postpone? worried of side effects if any

Yes: Assuming you didn't have any concerning symptoms after the MRI scan, it would be okay to fly on an airplane. Just drink plenty of fluids to help your kidneys filter the contrast agent used during the study. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003335.htm

Yes, it is safe.: There is no known contraindication to flying after MRI studies. There is always a slight chance of a contrast reaction after the study, and if you are worried, then take some Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25 mg tablets with you to use if needed. If you have a history of multiple allergies, then an Epipen may make you feel more comfortable traveling.
