It's possible: It's possible to become a nurse with a GED. The next step is completing a BSN or ASN degree or a vocational nursing program (depending on state laws). You're only a failure if you don't try. http://www.wikihow.com/Become-a-Registered-Nurse

Keep trying: There's an old saying, when G-d closes a window, a door opens. If your heart's desire is to become a Nurse, keep applying. There are a lot of Nursing programs within driving distance of your current address.
