Yes: it is caused by Staph. Aureus. Most people do not have this germ on their skin. It can cause boils/pimples with any break in the skin. ON THE OTHER HAND, hairline and nose are places for acne rather than boils. And different germs are involved with that than in folliculitis. So, while folliculitis is contagious (as folliculitis or as boils) it is NOT contagious as acne and YOU probably don't have
