Umbilical cord: Just gentle cleaning with soap and warm water compresses should be OK. There may be small amounts of bleeding associated with friction, so clean with diaper changes. It should clear up in a day or two. If not, see your pediatric care provider.

O.K.: Clean the umbilicus with alcohol and keep it dry and clean. Watch for bleeding tiny bleed is O.K. but if more consult your doctorHope umbilicus will heal nicely in 4-5 days Also Watch for any discharge from umbilicus
